The night before: pack, sleep, don't cram

The last night's work has already been done. The last night's job is to arrive in good shape.

Nothing you can learn on the night of June 6 will show up on the paper of June 7. Cramming that night hurts your sleep and produces almost no additional information in your head.

Pack your bag by 8 PM. Admission ticket, ID card, pencils, pens, ruler, compasses, eraser, water bottle. Lay the outfit out for the morning.

Eat a light, familiar dinner. Do not have coffee after 6 PM.

Read something for pleasure for thirty minutes. Not a textbook. Not a mock paper. A novel, a comic, anything that is not the exam.

In bed by 10:30 PM. If you cannot sleep, do not panic — lying quietly is worth most of what sleep gives you. Do not check your phone.

Set two alarms. Trust your preparation. Turn off the light.
